Qualification statement  –  I can prioritize project details as well as produce construction drawings in a job specific style. I've worked with contractors and supply vendors for company purchasing. Without question I can provide project management responsibilities: scheduling engineering assignments, construction timelines and any other supervisory functions. I communicatively work well with others.I'm use to meeting with supervisors,co-workers,contractors and private personal to discuss project details.  I also have some shop/field (QC) Quality control experience. I've checked project engineering data, construction progress, construction procedures, safety standards/equipment and can providing instructive on site assistance.      

    Computers - Windows PC workstations and networked workstations.Network (semi- administrative) experience loading new programs, backing up files and all normal computer house keeping.Of course familiar with all types hardware: printers, plotters, copiers, faxes, blueprint machines and mail room equipment. However I have no experience with scanners.!

   Software - Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Project etc. ArcView, COGO, TOPO, IMAP.

   Drafting Software - AutoCAD version 2012, Inventor, Eaglepoint and Rhinocereos. (Autodesk certified in 2002').

Senior Designer    I was a senior CAD designer for this (FRP) Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic engineering department. I worked closely with other drafters and engineers to ensure construct-ability of designed products. My primary function was to provide drawings for all types of construction needs,on a networked workstation,using 2008 Acad/Inventor. This included complete project drawing sets for customers and fabricators.Typical drawing packages included:cover sheets,laminate sequence charts,general arrangements,assembly drawings,part fabrication details and any other info. required.     Most of the engineering and fabrication was done on site and field assembled. Ershigs Inc. designs,manufactures and installs corrosion resistant products made of (FRP)Fiberglass Reinforced Plastics. FRP piping; effluent and abrasion resistant, chemical process plant products, vessels,stacks, chimney liners, duct systems and storage tanks. These projects ranged anywhere from 20 thousand dollars to 12 or 14 million dollar government contracts. As for me, I provided all types of drawing sets: conceptual, proposal, preliminary, construction and revisions. Drawing sets would be in 2D mostly and or 3D depending showing: complete duct piping layouts, plant system layouts, detailed storage tank fabrication, pipe spool runs, assemblies and of course individual part call outs.

KING COUNTY D.O.T - Roads Maintenance Design & Environmental Unit -155 - Monroe Ave. Renton, WA. & 98056  &      KING C OUNTY D.O.T. – (C.I.P. Division)  201 - South Jackson St. Seattle, WA. 98104-3856    April 00' to June 03'                                             Engineering Technician / Engineer 1 and TEMP Engineer 2 - Capital Improvements Projects: Roadway, Drainage,       Environmental Design and King County D.O.T. Roads maintenance division and Environmental unit

              Engineering Technician / Engineer 1   My job here was to work with other County engineers concerning roadway design,surface water and public utilities.All these projects were in the County right of way with private property in mind.These County projects addressed:emergency road repairs,flood reduction,ditch maintenance,new impervious surface designs and any environmental issues that impact surface water and or water quality. These projects usually started with a need for roadway repair, a new construction project and or a public complaint in roads .I gathered existing roadway data and private property information for these proposed County projects. The supervisor would then determine feasibility and prioritize ea. project. Upon project budget approval an existing site survey would be performed. Engineering would then account for the following:drainage basins,impervious surface water volumes, natural spring tubutation, erosion, steep slopes, streams, fish passage, vegetation replacement needs and acknowledge any endangered species habitat. Our dept. would move on to the proposed construction design details. These projects were fully engineered/constructed to King County design manuals, (D.O.T.) Department of Transportation guidelines and DDES regulations. I produced AutoCAD drawings to accommodate all phases of construction. My drafting duties covered all phases from preliminary to out for construction. During the construction of all projects, we maintained a MS Access data base for relevant project specific info.

               TEMP Engineer 2 -  I was doing utility locate requests, pre-construction meetings and emergency construction on call duty. I was asked to find out what utility companies are with in the County R.O.W for all county projects based on engineered design drawings. Locating inc. would then confirm ea. request by sending me a hard copy of all the utilities at the proposed address . I would then check to see if there were any utilies that may not be on the list and contacted those companies individually. Example: city of Renton water and sewer. I'd call them to check the site for service and have them mark it accordingly. Once all the known utilities were accounted for. If necessary I would visit the sites myself to make sure that all the locates are marked and are marked in the proper construction area. Then I let county construction crews know that the site has been marked and is ready for construction.                                                                        All this is again based King County surveys and design drawings. If any interferences existed from here, the County would request them to move or at last resort, negotiate the costs and schedule this accordingly. Thus coordinating construction with engineering at this point was critical to minimize the internal and external costs for each project as well as construction cost feasibilty.

AutoCAD /Drafter  I was a structural steel drafter for this engineering consulting firm which dealt with commercial, government and private buildings/structures. I used AutoCAD  for drafting details, plan views, sections and cross sections. Everything from foundation to roof framing plans. The fast track pace of these projects required fast learning and performance.

CAD manager / Drafter / Estimator    Everything at Ershigs inc., as far as company duties, applies here and more.I worked directly for the General Manager and reported the drafting departments progress to him. I did everything from conceptual  with project cost estimates to part details. My involvement in these projects was consistently about producing construction drawings using AutoCAD. I assign drafting tasks to others drafters and worked with engineers to provide comprehensive drawing sets for construction crews and customers. All the fabrication was done at a off site location usually outside the United States. This Company was purchased by (RPS plastics of Canada) and became RPS/CC&E.RPS later sold/merged this CC&E division into Ershigs Inc. in June of 1998. As a full time Employee, I declined to continue my employment with this firm. I did however eventually work for Ershigs Inc. as a Senior Designer in July,2006'.(see above)

AutoCAD Drafter / Steel Detailer  This company designed/built rock crushing and conveying equipment, steel supports, stairs and handrail. I graduated from Lake Wash. Voctec with this job waiting for me and went to work the very next day. They had just switched from drafting details by hand to CAD exclusively.I used AutoCAD to generate shop fabrication drawings. I was one of two CAD drafters for this company which included my boss. In addition to drafting and design, we included bills of materials in our work and wrote up purchase order requisitions. We incorporated other manufacturers electrical and mechanical specs. into Westec Inc. products. All products were designed to meet OSHA safety standards and assembled in the welding shop next door.
